Rejuvenating with living raw food – Yoga Retreat in Bali
Changes can be felt even within a short 24 hour period. That’s why we love it so much. By consuming raw food we can expect extraordinary health benefits. It stirs abundant energy and vitality, weight control, reversal or slowing of aging, balances emotions, clears the mind and gives us optimal health. This is certainly one of the highlights on the retreat.
We will not only serve delectable and nourishing raw organic meals but we’ll also learn how to prepare them. We’ll make power smoothies to , salad dressings and pasta zucchini. Who said that lasagna, an otherwise high carb, hi-fat dairy meal, could be healthy for us and taste so delicious that we’ll want more?
Our raw food chef will teach us special techniques and raw kitchen tricks that help us prepare food in creative and interesting ways. We’ll look at the different appliances from blenders, spiralizers to dehydrators keeping enzymes and life force all intact. Guest speakers give talks about super herb tonics and elixirs and how adaptogenic herbs help the body respond positively to stress and emotional upheaval. Little magic potions that deliver profound health benefits. And for the sweet-tooth chocolate-lovers our skillful chef will teach us how to make healthy deserts: energy balls, chocolate treats, and cakes to delight even the toughest critic.
Correct Food Combining for Optimum Results
Our menu planning is one of our most important aspects of the retreat. Meals are intelligently combined to offer the highest nutritional value possible. Correct food combining is an element that we respect. Many proteins and complex carbohydrates ( cooked or raw) don’t digest together very easily as they require different digestive enzymes to break down. We keep our focus on different ingredients in each meal but also look at the bigger picture of how each meal will work on our digestion and assimilation throughout the whole week. We really want everyone to feel the benefits of eating raw food.
At the end of our time together we will email you a recipe book of all the highlighted meals that were served so that you may savor them at home.
